So you've had a dream that when I die the whole world gets destroyed and you're going to prevent that-- by killing me?

Strange Places collects two great maritime tales, The Third Wish and The Island, in which we return to Hellboy's struggle between destiny and decision. Eerie and weird, Strange Places is a dreamy journey to the bottom of the sea.

Unlike previous encounters with demons and evildoers who are bent on unleashing the terrible fate Hellboy would reap upon the world, in The Third Wish, a devious being looks to prevent it by destroying Hellboy for good. In The Island however he must once more resist the temptation of one whose alluring song, would drag him literally, down to hell.

The stories here a good size with some great conflicted characters. This is Hellboy at it's best, delivering not only great action moments and comedy but an interesting subtext, which only Hellboy - with it's unique paradoxical hero, can explore.
