Face the fact that God is dead and we are free to do whatever we want...

In The Mystery Play, a detective comes to Townely, a small English town to investigate the murder of an actor who had been playing God in a small local religious production.

The murder has the town on high alert, and local reporter Annie is keen to get the inside scoop on the case that could be her big break and escape from the small town.

John J Muth's water colours further elevate the illusionary style of the plot which moves gracefully, yet very fast. Cut up much like a broken memory of a dark dream.

The Mystery Play is an existential thriller about individual freedom, the search for truth and the longing for redemption in a Godless world.
