Thought you could get away with it, didn't you?

John Wagner packs punches a plenty in this pulsating mobster thriller. A History of Violence bodes the question, can you ever escape your past and start a new life? When a seemingly isolated incident in a small town diner causes a media stir, it quickly begins a series of events which dig up the buried past of Tom McKenna. Soon, his loved ones are left to question how well they know their loving husband and father.

Vince Locke's scratchy black and white artwork brings the violence and emotion right off the page, leaving little to the imagination. A History of Violence is a real graphic novel page turner written by one of the mediums greats. Well worth a quick read.

It is worth noting that David Cronenberg directed the movie adaptation of the same name but with a slightly different twist.
